Lithium batteries are among the most commonly used energy storage units in today’s electronic devices  and are widely used in various applications due to their high energy density and long cycle life. However, safety is an important concern with these batteries, as they have the potential to overheat, catch fire, or even explode under certain conditions. For these reasons, various safety standards and certifications have been developed and published. These standards provide procedures and requirements for testing and use of lithium ion batteries, as well as for their transportation and disposal. US Tech offers lithium battery testing in accordance with the IEC 62133-2 standard and provides certification services encompassing safety, performance, reliability, and challenging environmental conditions.
